Community Engagement Specialist
Fresh Start seeks dynamic individual with a passion for people and improving our community to join our team as a part time Community Engagement Specialist. Responsibilities include sharing our mission in the community, recruiting and managing volunteers, and assisting with development and marketing tasks. This position collaborates with and is supervised by the Development Coordinator. Fresh Start values lived experience and that may be substituted for education or job experience. We especially encourage applications from individuals from diverse backgrounds and those who have been historically underrepresented. This is a part-time position for 15- 20 hours per week. Volunteer Opportunities
We often have volunteer opportunities, including office assistance, one day projects, The Daisy, or a leadership committee. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, please contact lacreshab@freshstarthome.org.
The Daisy currently seeks individuals or groups to assist with sorting on a regular basis on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. This could be during the afternoon or evening hours.
Internships
Internships can help you develop your experience in non-profits by learning the ropes from more experienced professionals. At the end of your internship, you’ll have relevant experience to help you decide if a career in the non-profit industry is the right choice for you. At a smaller non-profit like Fresh Start, you’ll have an opportunity to see your projects go from start to finish.
