On Call
There are additional staff members who work on an "on call" basis yet are essential to the team and the 24/7 staffing of the shelter. These team members include:

Animals 
Fresh Start recognizes the many physical and emotional benefits to being around animals, and because shelter residents are separated from or have lost their own pets, Fresh Start allows staff to bring their animals (typically dogs) to the shelter. Visiting pets are required to be in compliance with all applicable city, county, and state laws, regulations and ordinances. Staff affectionately considers them part of the team and have given them titles.
